This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, what types LocalCheck (https://localcheck.info) uses — including its PropCheck sub-brand (localcheck.info/propcheck, also accessible from propcheck.es) — what they are used for, and how the user can manage them.

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on the user's device (computer, mobile phone or tablet) when they visit a web page. Their main purpose is to recognise the user, remember certain preferences, improve the browsing experience and obtain statistical information about how the website is used.

Cookies do not damage the user's device and can be deleted at any time from the browser settings.

LocalCheck uses first-party and third-party cookies to ensure the website works properly, improve the user experience, analyse use of the platform and enable certain services.

These are essential for the platform to work and do not require the user's consent.

Among other things, they allow:

• logging in;
• keeping the session active;
• remembering basic preferences;
• ensuring browsing security;
• protecting against fraudulent access;
• managing the payment process;
• balancing server load;
• storing the cookie-consent setting.

If these cookies are disabled, some website features may stop working properly.

These allow certain settings chosen by the user to be remembered in order to improve their experience, such as:

These cookies will only be installed where relevant and in line with the user's preferences.

LocalCheck uses analytics tools that make it possible to understand, on an aggregated and anonymous basis where possible, how users interact with the platform.

Their purpose is to:

• identify the most visited pages;

• improve the user experience;
• optimise how the service works.

LocalCheck uses PostHog as its product analytics tool. It sets a cookie called `ph_…_posthog` to distinguish visits within the same session.

These cookies are only set if you give your consent in the cookie notice. If you decline, absolutely nothing is loaded and you lose no functionality. You can change your choice at any time from "Cookie Preferences", in the footer; withdrawing consent switches off analytics immediately and deletes whatever had been stored.

We do not record your screen or what you type. Additionally, the address you query travels in the results page's URL and is removed from the data before it is sent to analytics, because it reveals where a specific person wants to open their business. For a logged-in user, only an internal identifier and account type are recorded — never their name or email.

These cookies enable additional features, such as:

• remembering recent searches;
• improving the performance of certain tools;
• personalising browsing.

LocalCheck's pages load no third-party resources whatsoever: no external fonts, no pixels, no iframes. Maps are served with MapLibre over OpenStreetMap data, with no third-party cookies.

PostHog analytics is served from LocalCheck's own domain, so its cookie is a first-party cookie, not a third-party one.

The only exception is payment: when you click the purchase button, the Stripe checkout opens on its own domain, where Stripe sets the cookies it needs to process the payment and prevent fraud, under its own policy. Those cookies are set on Stripe's domain, not LocalCheck's.

The cookies used on LocalCheck are intended to:

• ensure the website works properly;
• authenticate users;
• protect account security;
• process payments;
• remember preferences;
• analyse use of the platform;
• detect technical issues;
• continuously improve the service.

LocalCheck does not use cookies to build commercial profiles or to send its own personalised advertising.

Technical cookies are used because they are necessary to provide the service requested by the user.

Analytics, personalisation or third-party cookies subject to consent will only be set once the user accepts them via the cookie settings panel.

The legal basis for this processing is the consent given by the user, in accordance with article 6.1.a of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

The first time a user visits the website, a cookie settings panel is shown that allows them to:

• accept all cookies;
• reject them;
• configure each category individually.

The user may change or withdraw their consent at any time via the "Cookie Settings" link available on the website.

Withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.

Each cookie will remain installed only for as long as is strictly necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was created.

The retention period will depend on the type of cookie and the policies set by each provider.

The user can delete or block cookies from their browser settings.

Major browsers offer tools to:

• delete stored cookies;
• block future cookies;
• limit third-party cookies;
• set exceptions for certain websites.

Disabling certain cookies may affect the proper functioning of some LocalCheck features.

As a general rule, data processed through the cookies used by LocalCheck is stored within the European Economic Area.

Analytics data is stored in PostHog's European cloud, with servers in Germany. PostHog Inc. is a US company and may also process it outside the European Economic Area; this transfer is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, under the data-processing agreement signed with it.

Should any other technology provider carry out international data transfers, these will be carried out in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), using the appropriate safeguards provided for under European law, such as the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or other legally valid mechanisms.

Information obtained through cookies may constitute personal data when it allows a user to be directly or indirectly identified.

In such cases, this data will be processed in accordance with LocalCheck's Privacy Policy and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), as well as Organic Law 3/2018 on the Protection of Personal Data and the guarantee of digital rights.

KonnektWerk Tech & Entertainment S.L.U. may amend this Cookie Policy to adapt it to regulatory, technological or functional changes.

Amendments will be published on this same page, indicating the date of the last update.
